Do I need a BAS agent or a bookkeeper?
A bookkeeper keeps your day-to-day financial records up to date. Only a registered BAS agent (or tax agent) can be paid to provide BAS services, such as preparing and lodging your BAS and advising on GST. Cloudscribe does both: Colleen Goodacre is a registered BAS agent (RAN 24609598), so your books and your BAS are handled in one place.

You invite Colleen to your Xero file as an adviser using xero@cloudscribe.com.au. Bank feeds bring your transactions in automatically, you send receipts and invoices digitally, and Colleen reconciles and codes everything. You can see the same up-to-date numbers in Xero at any time, and you can catch up with Colleen by video call booked through Calendly, so there’s no need to meet in person.
How do I nominate Cloudscribe as my BAS agent?
Log in to the ATO’s Online services for business, go to Profile, then Agent details, then Agent nominations, and select Add. Search for Registered Agent Number 24609598, confirm the details and submit. Then email hello@cloudscribe.com.au so Colleen can accept the nomination.
